How to uninstall Amazon Music – Method one
The first method we would like to teach you is uninstallation utilizing the Windows search bar. Scroll for more details
Step 1 – type AMAZON MUSIC into search bar
Ok, in order to start correctly, let me mention that in Windows 10 you will find your search bar on the bottom left of your screen.
Got it? Good. Now let’s start by typing AMAZON MUSIC into the search bar.
Step 2 – Find AMAZON MUSIC (app)
You will now see a lot of results, which Windows thinks are relevant for your search term. The one that we are looking for is called Amazon Music. Important note: the result we are looking for is marked as APP.
So make sure you find the correct one before you will proceed to step 3.
Step 3 – Right click AMAZON MUSIC (app) and select uninstall
Now that you found Amazon Music App among your search results, click on it with the right mouse button. You will see a context menu appear, so find UNINSTALL option and click on it to proceed.
Your computer will ask you now “Do you want to uninstall Amazon Music?”, click YES to finish the uninstallation.
Step 4 – OPTIONAL – remove temporary files
Great, now that you managed to uninstall Amazon Music from your computer, we have to talk about the temporary files.
These are files that are temporarily saved on your hard drive by programs that are running on your computer and Windows itself, to help them run smoother. By nature, after programs stop using them, these files should be uninstalled automatically, but that is not always the case.
Over time these files will accumulate, take up a portion of your hard drive, and will slow your computer down. So we strongly recommend that any Windows user makes cleaning of temporary files a routine.
If you have no idea how to remove temporary files don’t worry, there are a lot of uninstaller programs, that are super easy to learn and will have the job done for you in a couple of clicks. Usually, you have to pay a subscription for these programs, but they won’t cost you more than dinner for 2.
One such program, that we at UninstallHelper recommend is the SPECIAL UNINSTALLER. It costs $29.95 for a whole year and you can download and test it out for free. Only if you like it and want to unlock it’s full functionality you will have to register and purchase it.
Of course, if you prefer to have the temporary files clean up manually, it is also possible, just instead of investing your money, you will have to invest your time and effort. It is absolutely doable and we put together a step-by-step guide for those of you that prefer to do it this way. You can check it out here.
How to uninstall Amazon Music – Method two
In this method we will teach you how to uninstall programs utilizing Windows preferences, so check it out below.
Step 1 – search for REMOVE
This first step is very easy, just search for REMOVE by typing it in the Windows search bar
Step 2 – click on ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS
You will now see a lot of search results, that Windows suggests as fitting for your search term. Among all of these results look for and therefore click on ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS. This will open part of Windows settings, where programs can be uninstallled.
Step 3 – search for AMAZON MUSIC
You will now see a list of programs that you have installed on your computer. To make the search easier, just use the built-in search bar. Just type in AMAZON MUSIC, to filter the list down.
Step 4 – click on AMAZON MUSIC and confirm uninstall
Ok, you will only see Amazon Music remaining, as we filtered the rest of the programs out. To proceed, click on the name of the program (Amazon Music), after that you will see UNINSTALL button appear. Click on it as well. And you will see a second UNINSTALL button appear, so you will have to click on it as well to confirm the uninstallation.
Check out the below picture, that does a better job explaining it than me.
Step 5 – confirm uninstall by clicking YES
Your computer will now ask you “Do you want to uninstall Amazon Music”, just click YES if you wish to get it uninstalled from your computer.
Step 6 – OPTIONAL – remove temporary files
We already said it here and will say it again. You have to remove temporary files from your system to prevent your computer being slow and prevent losing valuable hard disk space.
Just read step 4 of method 1 for details on how.
