Below you will find a clickable table of contents, to help you jump through our guide easily.
↓↓↓ Detailed guide on how to uninstall Nexus Mod Manager ↓↓↓
How to uninstall Nexus Mod Manager – Method one
In this first method, we will teach you, in our opinion, the easiest uninstall method out there. So keep reading…
Step 1 – find search bar
Yes, I named the heading like that on purpose, find the search bar, good one. But in all seriousness, I am aware that our guides are read by users with different experience levels, even beginners. So just to get it off the table, the search bar (in Windows 10) is located on the bottom left of your screen. See the picture below for reference
Step 2 – type NMM into search bar
Now that we made sure we all know where the search bar is, type NMM into it. NMM is the name of the Nexus Mod Manager program on your system once installed.
Step 3 – find NMM (App) in search results
You will see a bunch of results, that Windows thinks are relevant to your search. Just locate NMM, marked as APP, among your search results and you’re all set (for this step anyway).
See the below picture to confirm what I mean.
Step 4 – right click NMM (app) and select UNINSTALL
In this step, you will need to click on NMM with the right mouse button. This will show you the context menu, where you will have to select and click on UNINSTALL option. This will start the uninstallation process.
Step 6 – How to uninstall Nexus Mod Manager – Method one – confirm uninstall
Your computer will ask if you are sure you want to uninstall NMM. Just click YES to proceed.
You will be asked again if you want to remove all configuration files, just click YES again, if you want to proceed.
Step 7 – OPTIONAL – remove temporary files
Congrats, you just uninstalled NMM from your system. Let’s talk temporary files now.
Temporary files are files left behind by uninstalled programs, that were originally installed on your system temporarily to assist the running of the said programs. These should be uninstalled automatically, but that is now always the case.
Over time, these files add up, clog up your system, take up hard drive space and ultimately slow down your computer.
To avoid this, we at UninstallHelper suggest making cleaning of temporary files a monthly routine.
To assist you with this task you can utilize a professional uninstallation program. We personally use and suggest to our readers the SPECIAL UNINSTALLER. It is very easy to set up and learn, plus it won’t cost you more than dinner for two.
But if you prefer to invest your time and effort instead of your money, then don’t worry. We have put together a guide on how to clean temporary files manually. As always, this guide is step-by-step and includes all screenshots of what you need to do. If you’d prefer it over the easier (but paid) option, then check it out here.
