How to uninstall Guild Wars 2 in Windows 10 – Method One
Let’s get started. This method will show you how to uninstall programs from Windows 10’s search bar. Keep reading for more info.
Step 1 – find search bar in Windows 10
Ok, let’s start with an easy one, so all you have to do in this step is to locate the search bar in your Windows 10. It is found on the bottom left of your screen, on your taskbar.
Step 2 – type GUILD WARS into the search bar
Great, now that we learned (most likely only new users didn’t know this) where your search bar is located, now you will have to type GUILD WARS in there. Please note that you don’t have to press enter to confirm your search as it used to be in older Windows versions.
Step 3 – find Guild Wars 2 in search results
After you searched for Guild Wars Windows will suggest you best search results, among which you have to find GUILD WARS 2. Important to note here is that you are looking for a result that is marked as APP. See the below picture for further clarification.
Step 4 – right click Guild Wars 2 app and select uninstall
You just located Guild Wars 2 (marked as APP) in your search results, now you will have to click on it with the right mouse button. You will see a drop-down menu appear and you will have to click on UNINSTALL, which will start Guild Wars uninstall process.
Step 5 – OPTIONAL – clean Windows temporary files
Awesome, so you just uninstalled Guild Wars 2 from your computer, so let’s talk about temporary files now.
These are files Windows and other programs create temporarily on your system to help your computer work in real-time, as well as user-related data, download files, and many other file types and formats.
If you’d expect the system to delete these files automatically you’d be wrong. While some files are deleted automatically, the system doesn’t delete all of them. This is where the user a.k.a. YOU comes into play.
We recommend all user types to make cleaning temporary files a routine, that is repeated at least on a monthly basis.
To help you with this routine you can utilize special uninstallation programs, that are built exactly for this purpose. These cost money but are super easy to use, easy to learn, and won’t cost you more than steak dinner.
We at UninstallHelper use and recommend SPECIAL UNINSTALLER, which is easy to implement out of the “box” and has competitive pricing.
If you prefer to remove temporary files manually and have the time to invest in learning the required steps, then we have a guide for you. You can check it out here if you’d like – how to remove temporary files in Windows 10
