1. Start command prompt as administrator

Click on the Windows logo in the bottom left of your Windows desktop and type CMD in the search field

3. Type command: Product get name

In order to get a list of all the programs that are installed on your pc, you need to type the command Product get name followed by entering

After this command, you will see a list of all programs installed, something like the one below

4. Look up exact name of Avast program

We will use the name of the program in the next step to uninstall it. Make sure to locate and note the exact name of your Avast program from the list of all installed software. In my case, because I have the free version, the exact name is Avast free antivirus

5. Type command: Product where name=”YOUR PROGRAM NAME” call uninstall

Now type the command with the EXACT name of Avast antivirus, as it is on your system, between the quotes (instead of YOUR PROGRAM NAME) and press enter. In my case it looks like this:

6. Confirm Avast antivirus uninstall
