How to uninstall Twitch in Windows 10 – Method One

In this step, I will show you how to uninstall Twitch via the Windows search bar, let’s start below with the first step.

Step 1 – Locate Windows 10 search bar

This first step is very easy, all you have to do is locate the search bar, which in Windows 10 is in the bottom left corner of your screen. See the picture below…

Step 2 – Search for Twitch

All you do in this second step is to search for Twitch on your computer. To do that, type TWITCH into the previously located search bar.

Step 3 – Find Twitch among search results

In the third step, you will look for Twitch among your search results, but it is important the result is marked as App. Otherwise, this method won’t work. See the picture below for reference

Step 4 – right click Twitch and select uninstall

As in the steps above, this one is very simple as well. Now that you located Twitch (App) among your search results you have to click on it with the right mouse button and then click on uninstall.

OPTIONAL step – clean temporary files

Now that you have uninstalled Twitch we have to discuss temporary files. Temporary files are pieces of data that are left on your computer after every uninstall, that Windows doesn’t remove automatically (e.g. user-specific data, saved projects, etc)

And after time, if not cleaned regularly these files will add up and will cause your computer to slow down and will take important hard drive space.

I would like to advise everyone to make cleaning temporary files a habit (best after every uninstall, but at least on monthly basis).

My suggestion is to use professional, purpose-built uninstall software. This will make your job super easy, effective and won’t cost you more than dinner for 2.

My personal favorite is Special Uninstaller, that I can recommend to everyone. To learn more about it and to purchase it go here.

But if you’d prefer the free, manual method don’t worry, I got you covered. I put together a step-by-step guide that will explain to you how to clean temporary files manually. It is absolutely free, however, you will have to invest time and elbow grease to learn this new skill. You can find my guide here

How to uninstall Twitch in Windows 10 – Method Two

If for whatever reason you’d like to have another uninstall method explained, welcome to method two. In this method I will teach you how to uninstall programs on Windows 10 via Windows uninstaller, so let’s start with step 1…

Step 1 – type REMOVE into search bar and start Windows uninstaller

Again, we’re starting with an easy one. As I already explained in the first step of the method above, the search bar in Windows 10 is located on the bottom left of your screen.

So let’s start by typing REMOVE in there and then to start Windows uninstaller locate and click on ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS among your search results. See the picture below for reference

Step 2 – search for Twitch among installed programs

Now that you managed to find and open Windows uninstaller let’s look for Twitch among your installed programs. Type TWITCH into the provided search bar to do so. See the picture below if necessary.

look for twich uninstaller

Step 3 – Click on Twitch to start uninstall

Great! Now you managed to find Twitch among all programs installed on your computer. In this step, we will start the uninstallation itself.

To do so click on the name of the program (Twitch in our case) to show uninstall button, then click on it to show the second uninstall button. You will have to click on that one to start uninstallation too.

See the picture below, that illustrates this step a bit better…

Confirm twitch uninstall

OPTIONAL step – clean temporary files

As I already explained in the first method, temporary files are bits of data that are left on your system after every uninstallation, that Windows does not remove automatically. Over time this data will clog your hard drive and slow down your computer.

You can get rid of temporary files, either automatically by purchasing a professional uninstaller, or manually by doing all the cleanup files yourself (you can read my guide here)

My recommended uninstaller program is Special Uninstaller, which will help you clean temporary files in just a few clicks and won’t cost you more than steak dinner. You can read more about it as well as purchase it here.
